Introduction
Fernhill Park Experience respects the privacy of its users and is committed to protecting any information that you share with us. The privacy policy explains what type of information we collect from participants and how that information will be used. This privacy policy is intended for the target audience of both adults and children who engage with the gaming experience.
Who are we?
Fernhill Park Experience is led by Dún Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology (IADT), in partnership with Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council (DLRCC). The project has been funded by the Science Foundation of Ireland (SFI) under the Discover Programme.
What information do we collect?
At the end of the game there is a survey for participants to fill out. This survey is optional and it is not a requirement of the participant to fill out the survey. If a participant chooses not to engage in the survey, no data will be collected during their experience. The survey intends to collect the following information;
- Age range
- Whether the participant resides in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown region
- Outcome at the end of game
- Learning achievements
- General feedback on gaming experience
Who will have access to the information I provide?
The project researcher and project leads on the Fernhill Park Experience will have access to the resulting data you provide. Any data recorded will not be identifiable, i.e. anonymous. We do not share your information with any third parties, only if required by law.
How will information about me be used?
The information you provide in the survey will be evaluated as part of a research study led by Dún Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology. The study aims to assess participants’ game results and the postgame learning achievements.
What will happen to the results of the study?
The data you provide in the survey will be evaluated and compiled into a report that will be accessible to the public in June 2023.
